Still having problems with larger stars . Also taken last week end in bortle 5 sky's.


66 x 180 sec light subs
66 x 180 darks

Optilong l enhance
Gain 120


I live in large industrial city this was taken looking over a large aluminum refinery. Stupid question could this be the cause of my strange star shape

M17 and this IC 2944 are some 80+ degrees apart.... the same star shape /flare exists in both pics....so, its more like a camera tilt causing the fault, could be focusser too. Check and test by rotating things.
Great shot this one.
Could you put it thru a high pass filter in PS?

Thanks Glenn next time I am out I will take pic see which way the spike goes ,rotate the camera and see if spike moves the same.way . This would mean no problem with internal reflections on.scope.
