M83 Southern Pinwheel Galaxy

Finally captured some reasonable data on M83 over the past couple of nights although outside ambient temperature was quite warm for this time of the year ( about 19 degrees) Doesn’t help the DSLR though trying to push longer subs to capture more detail , you get swamped with noise in the process

8” f5 Bintel newt on an EQ6-R Mount
Canon 600D stock with a Baader coma corrector and home made cooling fan ( reduced cameras sensor electronics by 5 degC )
Orion 60mm guide scope with helical focuser and ZWOASI120MM- S guide camera
ISO 800
50 x 5 minute dithered guided subs
25 x darks
PHD2 guiding at 0.80 to 0.90 arc sec error
Medium dithered each sub
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Startools V1.5

Original image size and cropped version

Comments most welcome

That's a ripper, time to move on; onwards and upwards as the old saying goes.

It's certainly paid off. Lots of detail, great colour and perfectly round stars.
Excellent Pinwheel all-round!
