As it happens I'm just reading some of Len Beadell's books. From his description, sometimes his rover looked that beaten up after one of his expeditions

Some of those vehicles look as though they wouldn't be too bad to restore. The body is pretty straight on most of them and new mechanical parts can be bought. Of course I'm not volunteering to do the rubbing back. I've done just enough of that to understand that it's just not 'me'
