McNaught and UFO (plane?)

Took this one Sunday night at home, strange how the apparent path parralleled the comets tail.
I followed it by eye afterwards for quite a while, it was just a light aircraft heading north.

Interesting shot! How lucky to capture it that way! I'd have stuck with the UFO story though.... Just for smiles.

I think you have captured the Space Station.
It was passing at approx 9:08. I took a shot (see McNaught thread) from Dural and Iss was passing right of the Comet.

ISS for Sunday
Sunday 28 January 2007 Time Object Event
21h10m56s ISS
→Ground track →Star chart
Appears 21h05m54s 5.3m az:223.2d SW
Transit 21h10m56s -1.6m az:138.2d SE h:57.2d
dist:427.7km alt:363.6km
Disappears 21h12m12s -1.0m az: 70.2d ENE h:28.8d

Hi all,
I agree with jakob that you have caught the ISS passing by..I also captured it around the same time but it appears slightly lower down..

Thanks for that info, I did wonder about that but thought it was too bright, definitely a keeper now.

Great capture, it could be a UFO hiding in the tail and coming to take us away to the stars
