Jupiter 26-1-2007 from tassie

Hi Guys,

This video was taken aprox 15 mintues before official sunrise 6am. With the 10fps, the image scale and the toucam 840k, this is as close to sunrise as I can get. The seeing must have ok, because I put in the 4mm TMB Planetary eyepiece after imaging and the detail was very nice.

Mirror and ambient were within the “.5 degrees” range.

Looks like one of the STrD is visible.

Hi David:

Impresssive image - and I say that with considerable envy, as I have a similar setup to you, but never came within a bull's roar of that sort of detail. I have a 10" dob (Bintel) and the Toucam 840k but I've not been able to get anything that shows even a hint of Jove's rings...
You've done well!

Mick
