Canon 135f2.0 L

I'm contemplating selling this lens. I don't use it much and it just sits in my camera bag.

CometGuy came and looked at the lens on the weekend and said it was as sharp as his 200f2.8 @2.8 but is thinking about the 70-200f2.8 instead for its not astro versatility.

The lens is in mint condition with no marks, scratches, dust, fungus or finger prints and has the hood, caps, soft case and original box.

The only way I am selling this is if I get $1200pp

I can take some pics of it if anyone is serious about buying it.

Hi Ben, i to have the 135mm F/2.0L Lens, and at that price it will go, that's a bargain, but you say it's not for imaging, i use mine constantly for imaging, it is my fovourite lens for wide fields.

If you got yourself a 1.4 extender than you would have nearly 200mm (189mm) at 2.8, or there about's, much better than the 70-200 i reckon.

You misunderstood me (and my spelling mistakes). The person who came to look at it decided that they also wanted a lens that they could use for everyday photography as well and the 70-200 suited them better. He said that it was as good as his 200mm.

Its a very nice lens and found it at least matched my 200 when both lenses were set to f2.8 (i.e its sharp at that aperture!). The cosmetic/optical/mechanical operation appear excellent as far as I can tell. My only comment is the hood has a bit of velcro attached but that can problably be removed without damaging the hood.

I have now got my mind set on a 70-200 2.8 because I want something a bit more convenient for daytime use (but it will still be used for astrophotography). I expect to trade some optical quality for this, but I already have good 100 and 200 primes.
