Vantablack - fascinating stuff
Hi,
An article about Vantablack, an almost absolutely black coating, with apparent applications in astronomy.

I read the same article this morning.
The science was interesting.
If used for flocking telescope tubes then there'd be no need for baffling.

Old school stuff. Isn't it what Wile E. Coyote used in the Road Runner episodes?

I researched this a couple of years ago for use as flocking. It wasn't available to the public, due its military applications. Not sure if that is still the case now.

Possibly very costly. The article does not mention cost but the mentioned uses are very limited and exotic.

I'm surprised it hasn't made its way in to formula 1 to hide all that trick aero' from other teams.
