A quick LRGB Prawn from Astrofest

This was going to be one panel of a mosaic but after a couple of cloudy nights I abandoned that plan...

Scope: AP140EDF/reducer = 771mm FL
Mount: AP900
Camera: U16M
Filters: Astrodon E series Gen 2 LRGB
Guiding: Lodestar / Borg 50mm guide scope
Image scale: 2.41 arcsec/pixel (drizzled to higher res)
Exposures: 12x600s L, 6x900s R, 6x900s G, 6x900s B (8 hours LRGB)
Processing: PixInsight 1.8

I have some Ha and Oiii as well so will have a go at a NB/RGB blend when I get a chance.

Big version here: http://www.astrobin.com/full/259240/0/

Cheers,
Rick.

Saw this on FB and was wondering what you'd imaged it with - was guessing your FSQ and forgot all about your recent acquisition!

Nice for a quicky!

Top shot Rick. You've got that mix of browns down pat. Great field.

That's got everything, Rick. Nice colour balance. Favourite emission nebula, intriguing dust, two beautiful open clusters, one with a lovely red giant, squillions of background stars. A very different view.

Beautiful tones and clarity Rick – if that’s a quick one I’m keenly awaiting the slower, well done image!

Cheers

Really nice Rick, so many stars in that field! Used to seeing it in NB where it is far more colourful hehe
