Lagoon Nebula Test Shot

My first time using a refractor, after learning astrophotgraphy the hard way with an 11" SCT. Things seem so much more forgiving when you're not working at 2800mm.

Full resolution here

Image:

  • 66x 300s Luminance bin1x1
  • 16x 150s Red
  • 14x 150s Green
  • 11x 150s Blue
Total exposure 7 hours 12 minutes.

Hardware:

  • Skywatcher Black Diamond ED120
  • SkyWatcher EQ8 Mount
  • QSI 683-ws Camera @ -15°C
  • Astronomik Typ 2c LRGB filters
  • Starlight Xpress Lodestar X2 Autoguider

Nice looking Lagoon Adam. It must be so much easier working at the lower focal lengths! The longest I've worked at so far is 750mm
