Thank you Graham and Adrian.

Thanks for the compliment Adrian, but I don't think it will ever be time for me
to move across. I still work at the most basic level; just unguided JPEGs,
no separate darks, flats, layers, curves; and noise reduction turned on[which
wastes half my imaging time]. I have PS, but only use it for resizing images
for posting here.
cheers raymo

Thanks Rick, if I can get the tracking good enough tonight I will try it with
a barlow.

Hi Raymo,

Pretty object you have there, have you ever tried eyepiece projection?

Its times like this when an F15 scope comes in handy.

Cheers
Bill

Thanks Bill; I am presently imaging it again with a barlow.
Yes, I did my first eyepiece projection image in 1957. It produces the
poorest images of any method, because it introduces all the aberrations
that the eyepiece has, into the image.

A very pretty image and certainly accomplished, Raymo. Gorgeous blue in the foreground stars too!

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Raymo,

That's disappointing about eyepiece projection, I did try imaging behind a Barlow once but I could never get the colours correct. Everything had a red tinge.

Thanks very much Richard; looking forward to some images from your new
APO soon.

That's rather odd Bill. A barlow should have no effect on the colours at all.
