Question Tube Ring Felt Scratching OTA

Somehow the felt on my rings are scratching the paint on my OTA!

Any recommendations on what I can put on my OTA to prevent this?

My guess is that there is a bit of aluminium swarf caught in the felt doing the damage. Check felt with a magnifying glass and tweezers........

Check to see if the screws from the dovetail bar are not too long.

Thanks for the replies.

I will check it out.

Do I need a specific type of paint if I want to touch up the scratched areas?

Appliance white touch-up paint should do.

You can get "appliance white" enamel in spray cans, for a few $. Super cheap is probably cheaper than Bunnings for spray cans. If you want to brush it on just spray some in the lid and use a small brush.
