Exclamation Lightbridge Alternative 16" Dob

I really like this design as its very portable and easier to build then the lightbridge.

sure is an ugly duck.. but very clever all the same
I've often thought of taking an angle grinder to my ota to
make it more portable.

Graham,

I know Dave was exploring a section design amd I think Lee has actually taken a grinder to his scope. I think this design is great because you could incorprate a very small section that can be removed to bring the primary forward to achive photographuc focus.

You could also use the Sealed Mirror section to have a fan on the lid to create a closed cooling solution to precool the mirror.
