DIY: CPC925 single-arm fork mount

Just started a mini-project to convert my CPC925 into a single-arm fork mount to use with my Tak CN-212, inspired by casstony's excellent CPC1100 single-arm mod (http://www.cloudynights.com/topic/48...gle-arm-mount/).

First step is removal of the OTA from the mount. This page http://jamesnetherton.github.io/2015...stron-cpc-925/ shows everything you want to know about the deforking process of the CPC. The process is quite straightforward and there should not be any marks left on the OTA from the removal.

Next step is to find a suitable D-style saddle plate and learn how to drill holes on metal

I thought a single armed fork was a spike.

Good one!
When completed I'll probably call it a spike mount...

As scope uses tube rings, I've decided to simply attach the dovetail to the mount using high tensile M5 30mm long bolts. Has enough clearance for 2" visual back and diagonal for the 86cm long OTA.

Glad it worked out for you Arief. Will you find a smaller box to tidy up the GPS module?

Hi Arief, I added an extra couple of bolts to my saddle to make sure it can't separate from the mount - possibly overkill for your scope but my mount can now carry a C11.
