NGC-253, ED80 - LX200/F10 comparison

Hi All,
For comparison, Pix taken with the ED80 then the Lx200-10" at F10 of Galaxy ngc253 (on successive nights), both have there good points, Im always amaized at the results from the ED80/300D combination, its a might little scope.

Both Pix- 6 x 6 Exp. at ISO800 DF removed, guided, The Ed80 Pix is cropped, and both Pix are only 30% of the original size and JPGd (original too big to post at 16 Mb.TIFF)

This is a fantastic object, and at Mag.9 one of the brighter Galaxies, looking forward to seeing lots of other Pix. of it from others.

P.S.- Just had a look at the Forum, and I see that my last Post of this Item went ahead ( I had deleted it as the wrong Pix were posted, but it seems to have stayed there, No idea why) so herewith with correct pictures...J.W.
cheers.................Jim

Nice shots Jim

I almost prefer the wider-field presentation produced by the ED80 I'd have to say. It seems more coherent than the one from your SCT. Both are great though!

It warms my heart to know that the ED80 I'm planning on getting as a guide scope will be more than useful as a good scope in its own right.
