It is going to be sad to see this lovely telescope go but it doesn't get used as much as it should, must be feeling lonely being stuck in storage, unused and unloved
It is what it says on the box. It is a HUGE 16" F/4.5 dobsonian that is very well balanced. I have heard of some people needing to put counterbalance weights on them to keep them steady but I have honestly never even considered needing it on this.
Has a few blemishes on the base and paint chips on the "tube". The chips have been caused from transportation when putting it in my wagon in 3-4 other telescopes when I have run some larger star parties.
Most importantly, the optics are really nice. Mirror is clean and ready to go and yes, it comes with the original plastic garbage bin lid (mirror protector).
Asking $1,500 for the telescope, 30mm Bintel 2" Wide view eye piece or something like that and an Orion Collimating laser which I will no longer need.
This is for pickup only due to the absolute nightmare that would be shipping it! I am willing to deliver if within the Melbourne area and you don't have a vehicle capable of carrying its awesome
In all seriousness, it is a big telescope even when in pieces, fits fine in my station wagon but not everyone has that amount of space.
