PANSTARRS from Brisbane, 17/7/15

Hi all,

I managed a few shots of C/2014 Q1 (PANSTARRS) before it set yesterday evening. This is 20 x 2 sec exposures with the 6D and 70-200 f.4L @ f/4 and 6400 iso. Should be a fantastic view of the Comet just below the Moon this evening, provided the clouds stay away!

There's also a quick snap of the 30 hr old Moon, while waiting for the comet to emerge from the twilight.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Nice shots Stephen! It should be exciting with the Moon near it tonight!

That's fantastic Stephen,I was unaware of this until you mentioned it.

I have been out of astronomy for a while,I'll put the 50D on the Vixen 103ED tonight a see if I can get an image of it.

Is it visible with naked eye? Not sure where it will be.
