M8 The Lagoon Nebula

First Lagoon with the 10 inch. Had a heck of a time imaging last night. I kept losing focus. Apparently the main mirror locking screws need to be really tight on this thing to stop it moving all over the place. Then the wind picked up. Anyway enough complaining.

GSO 10" F4 Newtonian, 278 x 30 seconds unguided on a HEQ5 Pro, Baader Semi-Apo filter, Baader MPCC MKIII, Pentax K-5.

All good, complaining is perfectly allowed...done plenty of it myself

Gold star for braving the elements and equipment woes, an image is an image, and almost always worth it regardless of the tials and tribulations, hallelujah!

...funnily enough, arhem, I've almost completed another hybrid composite using past and present data (from two different telescopes and three different cameras), on this just last night and your colours lookvery much like my colours...so I recon they are good I might post it soon?

Mike

Thanks Tim. Resilient and perhaps a bit nuts.

Thanks Marco! Just a standard off the shelf DSLR. I'd love to get a modded K-5 for extra Ha. I have a modified Nikon, but it's kinda old now.
