Angry Can't e-mail My Astro Shop?!

I'm having no success at e-mailing the guys at MyAstroShop.

I'm using the address listed in their ads, ie info@myastroshop.com.au

but all I get is this returned mail message:

The original message was received at Mon, 25 Sep 2006 17:17:30 -1000
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- <info@myastroshop.com.au>
----- Transcript of session follows ----- ... while talking to mail.myastroshop.com.au:
>>> RCPT To:<info@myastroshop.com.au>
<<< 550 <info@myastroshop.com.au>... User unknown 550 <info@myastroshop.com.au>... User unknown

I'm trying to organise a replacement V3 SynScan hand controller for my V2.05a

Anyone got any ideas what's going on

It's been like this for weeks!

Why not give them a call. There is a contact phone number is on their website. But if you wait till later tonight, I'll PM you with the "real" email address.

Cheers guys

I have been trying the phone, but it's always busy.

Business must be good.

I've always used the e-mail as a Plan B and up until recently it's worked fine.

Hey Matt,

I exchanged no less than four e-mails with Steve via info@myastroshop.com.au on Friday. It was working no problems then.

Have you asked your ISP if they're blocking e-mails to/from the myastroshop.com.au domain yet?

It's also interesting that the SMTP error is reported to be coming from mail.myastroshop.com.au - that server isn't listed in their MX records, ala:

Code:
>nslookup -timeout=10 -type=mx myastroshop.com.au
Server: dns.iinet.net.au
Address: 203.0.178.191

Non-authoritative answer:
myastroshop.com.au MX preference = 0, mail exchanger = smtp.secureserver.net
myastroshop.com.au MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mailstore1.secureserver.net

myastroshop.com.au nameserver = WSC2.JOMAX.net
myastroshop.com.au nameserver = WSC1.JOMAX.net
smtp.secureserver.net internet address = 64.202.166.12
mailstore1.secureserver.net internet address = 64.202.166.11
I'd recommend trying to phone him with the numbers listed on his Contacts Page.

Good luck,
Deimos.

Matt, I've tried emailing Steve M at MAS at a different address and I'm getting the same bounce message as you, so there is definitely something amiss at their end. Phone is your only option it would seem.

Steve, unlike some other dealers, either answers his phone or rings back shortly after you leave a message, I suggest you try the dog & bone...
