HEQ5 Pro alignment with EQMOD

Now that I have my mount connected to my computer and operating as it whould, my next question is how do I align the mount with EQMOD? I read the EQMOD alignment manual and basically got lost. What are the basic steps (after polar alignment)? I use Stellarium & Stellarium Scope.

Thanks.

Point-and-centre the target, then sync in Stellarium. This will add a sync point in EQMOD. Even better, get AstroTortilla plate solving going, and establishing a pointing model becomes a breeze.

Excuse my lack of understanding of astrotortilla, but do I need to connect a camera to use it?
