Moon size comparison

Last year's super moon compared to tonight's moon near apogee to show apparent size difference. Both used an ED100 at F9, Pentax K-5.

Yes Krishan I took the "supermoon" a day late I believe so the phase wasn't 100%. But it does still show the difference between an apogee moon and perigee moon in size.

Also shows the effect of the Moons libration where you can see extreme latitudes (or is it longitudes? I'm unsure) in each that aren't visible in the other. Nice

THanks Kevin i thought so! I wasn't being technical and pointing out that it wasn't 100% full, was more so just wondering what the reason was for the illumination difference!

i didn't see the libration effect initially but now i see it...interesting!
