Lunar eclipse montage - 8th Sept 2006

Hello,

Oops, almost forgot this one after all the excitement of the Uranus conjunction. Here is a montage of the lunar eclipse taken through the WO 80mm ED Triplet with the Pentax *ist DS on a photo tripod with the Manfrotto geared head.

Interval between images was 1 minute with the scope being manually centred between exposures. It was a dreary 60 minutes – oh for a tracking mount at the time!

Cheers

Dennis

I usually have my name in the thread so tend not to bother with polluting the image with it. Is there a copyright/courtesy issue here?

No issue as such, but if someone hotlinks to your image, or it gets on LPOD or other places, you want recognition of your work!

Good onya Dennis. Now that's dedication, doing an alnighter, getting the occultation and then the eclipse and then processing them in super quick time for display. Have you had any sleep yet?

Thanks Paul!

I'm just about recovered now. When I was a young whipper snapper, I could pull 2 consecutive all nighter’s, go for a 10km run in the morning and still get through the day reasonably aware and composed. Now, it takes 2 days to catch up after a single all nighter.

Cheers

Dennis
