Well, I hope evrythin goes ok with this storm possible TCylone to hit land - nothing too serious hopefully, but I just get a little 'hung up' when systems like this confront our coastlines ? ?

Anywho - safe one to all, and Ill try not to start other threads on big weather related situations - should've learnt from the last one, Lol.. no dramas

Mea culpa!

I'm afraid that it's all my fault .....

... I picked up a nice second-hand Celestron 5 SE yesterday, so I'm afraid we won't see clear skies for at least 2 weeks in Brisbane!

You can't take all of the blame... I just got an EQ8, an extension so I can actually use my new OAG and also got a 1100x1100x500D block of concrete dug in to sit the EQ8 on.

Sounds like the only useful purchase there was the block of concrete ...

Tie everythijng else to it.

All joking aside, take care up there folks, batten down the hatches and stay safe. Hope nobody takes any damage or harm.

I just got back on air. Have shifted house.
2 acres with a big pool, 40 fruit trees, 2 stories with rumpus down to a 3 bedroom on 600 sqM.

Not so much grass to mow. compact. Easier maintenance. The Border Collie, Rambo has his nose out of joint. I can see he does not like being fenced in.

So Lee and Julian, you two are the selfish ones that have caused this rain event. Well, that is just not good enough. You could have spread your purchases to allow the weather events to become diluted somewhat.

However considering the intensity of the event I believe there are others who have not 'fessed up. You two can be exonerated because you have been honest. Those others have been sneaky and devious hiding in the crowd. They should have their toes pulled and called nasty names. LOL

The uninitiated may think I am nuts, writing this. In my defence I can say this:

My gummy bear died,
My unicorn ran away,
My imaginary friend was kidnapped,
The voices stopped talking to me,
Therefore I must be going sane.

Take care everyone up in Queensland. Northern Territorians too. Just wish it would rain here in South Australia. The 40oC heat just takes the good night's viewing away on the opposite end of the spectrum from the cyclone weather!

We bought 5 acres about 18 months ago. I can see the attraction to downsizing to be honest... thinking about my wife leaving work or cutting back hours to get on top of the maintenance.

What can I say? I'm a terrible person :-(

On a more serious note, I hope everyone is safe both here in QLD and the NT.
