Full Moon (almost) 7 Sep 06

Here's my effort on the almost full moon last night. 10 shots taken afocally through the 8" Dob. Stacked with mild wavelets in Registax, and a sharpen, crop and resize in Irfanview.

...... and to Dennis if you read this thread, autofocus on the camera didn't work unfortunately.

Stunning Andrew This shows off the rays around the prominent craters as good as anything I've seen. What a lovely shot.

Hi Andrew

That is a superb image of the Moon. You have controlled the vast range of brightness really well. It is a top image given the relatively unsophisticated equipment at your disposal. You must be a highly skilled, first class operator!
