Win!!!

While watching TV and drinking beer the other night, I noticed that my lounge room and the outlook beyond looked unusually dark, and all the lights in the distance (I live on a hill) looked a lot more vivid than usual from my vantage point on my couch.

I got up and wandered into said lounge room and noticed everything was dark. The streetlights out front had been replaced to a cutoff fixture!!!!!!!!!! My lounge room used to be bathed in light, dark adaption killing light, but now it is just about fully dark, and when lounging on my couch, I can actually see the night scenery, whereas before it was just glare.

Tonight I took the wheelie bins to the curb, and the front of my house and my neighbour's house was just about fully dark whereas before it was all lit up, just from a single street light. Looking further down the street, all the lights have been replaced.

What an unexpected win!

Bonus. I wonder who decided to change them, and if they were pushed
into it.

joy.... absolute joy.
I hope they put them on a timer so they go off at about 10.30pm till 4am.
Then we'll realise that we didn't survive the H bomb and we're all in heaven

Could be that someone complained about them, but looks like they simply just updated the fixtures for whatever reason. I'll have to have a walk around the neighbourhood and see if streetlights in other areas were changed aswell.
