Thumbs up Star Optics: top service!! (XW 7mm: sweet:)

I just received such good service from Star Optics that I have to tell you about it. I had a bit of an issue with something I bought from them and they went above and beyond to address my concerns! I will not go into details here (PM if you're curious) but I'll tell you that I am the owner of a brand new 7mm Pentax XW which I got to try out last night. This EP is as good as the 10mm in my f/5 12" Dob. Brilliant!

Star Optics have been great. I would definitely deal with them again, and can highly recommend them!

Ummm....ditto for the 7, 10, 14 & 30 (now I am looking greedy!).

Actually, come to think of it, I have had nothig but good service from all the places I have ordered stuff from...in alphabetical order:

Andrews, Astronomy OnLine, Bintel, Lumicon, Sirius and Star.

Or customer supoprt:

Celestron, Coronado, Denkemier, MoonLite and TeleVue.

It is great to have a hobby where the people who service the industry seem to care about their customers and products. Now if the banks could do that....

I always get great service from Lex & Chris.

Too bad our local retailers in Brisbane can't compete.

Glad to hear they looked after you Steve.

I tried to give an astro store in Brisbane some money the other week (in exchange for an ED80) - I rang the store at 9.30am to get an answering machine telling me their hours were 9-5.... So I sent an email requesting basic price/avail info, which bounced 24hr later, by this time I'd ordered somewhere else.
