struggling with noise on 1365

while imaging NGC 1365 last night i was really struggling with the noise, i had sensor temperatures up over 50 deg at one time. i ended up reducing my ISO to 800 and managed to get it down to 30 - 35 deg. Anyway, this is the result of 17 300 second subs with the equipment in my signature. very disappointed

That is noisy. Something wrong going on there. Did you have Liveview and all screen info turned off?

Yeah I did , It seems to be getting worse with every image I take. My last 4 sessions have gotten progressively more noisy, I suspect there is an issue with my camera or usb port

I had a 600d before upgrading to a cooled mono for this exact reason. Byeos was the same, reporting 50+ sensor temps, making any imaging around the summer months impossible. Probably nothing wrong with camera's themselves, they're just no good for astro work

Something has to be wrong somewhere. Images straight out of my DSLR
wouldn't be that bad at the height of summer, with noise reduction
disabled. The cameras in your signature are used by many imagers.

I have used it with success in the past but perhaps i am trying to push it to its limits in the current climate. this last one was taken with 300 second exposures at iso 800. i have attached some darks and a light image so you can see what i am getting in a single sub

first dark is 30 seconds at 6400 ISO, taken with the camera not attached to the computer
second dark is 300 seconds at iso 800 taken with the camera attached to the computer
light image is 300 seconds at iso 800

Firstly, I'm no digital expert, but after looking at your darks and light,
I still hold the opinion that something is wrong [probably with the camera, since the problem is apparently getting worse]. I assume that
the worsening problem does not parallel the increasing ambient temps
of the seasonal change. I suggest that you get the camera looked at, as it is the most likely suspect. To cover my rear end, I don't know anything
about your imaging train, so I could be barking up the wrong tree.

The modern range of Canon CMOS seem to run hot. I wouldnt be surprised by any of this, as a rule, not negating a fault with the camera. 30 -35C is not unusual at iso800. Keep the temp as even as possible and take a good set of darks.

Some issues:

1) dark with ISO 6400 - it is normal much noise. Your photo is normal

2) dark and light with ISO 800 - 300 sec - There are more noise than usual. Let me ask: Did you change any set of parameters ? Check if they are at default. Maybe some paremeter was modified and it is causing this problem.

Your light seems to be much bright.

note: I often work with 35 C . And some times with 40 - 45 C. The noise is normal up to ISO 800. With 1600 or more ... terrible !
