Webber's teammate Romain Dumas said the Australian was okay.

"He [Webber] was talking on the radio he knows his name, he knows where he is, it looks okay," said Dumas.
Race organisers said that Cressoni was uninjured in the crash.

"Cressoni was checked by the medical staff at the side of the track and cleared, while Mark Webber, who was awake and alert, was taken to the circuit medical centre for further examination," said a statement from the organisers.

The Australian crashed with less than half-an-hour left in the race. The 6 Hours of Sao Paulo ended behind the safety car.

Hi Alex,

Not sure how many lives a Jaguar has but Mark took one life off one 11 years ago.

At a wet Brazilian F1 Grand Prix in 2003, Mark had a big crash at the
same circuit.

There were several spins and crashes during that race. Mark himself
spun off once and recovered only to later spin off again, hit the
barrier and what remained of his car ricocheted across the track.

With debris strewn across the track, Fernando Alonso could not sight
it as he came up the hill and collided with a tyre. In a video recorded last
year, Webber and Alonso interviewed each other and Alonso
cited that particular accident as the worse he ever experienced.

Yes
He is using up his share of luck.
Not detracting from his ability
Personally I would retire.
And luck is probabilities

Nasty crash

I haven't read any reports of what actually caused it. I was watching the pay per view but didn't see the start of the accident just then hitting the wall and him going back across the track? The Ferrari looked like it was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and got hit as a result.

It's also the same place Fernando Alonso had a massive accident when he was driving for Renault in 2003.
