NGC 6992 - Eastern Veil Nebula

Got to take the new Explore Scientific 127mm ED APO out for a run last month at last. Two nights of fantastic weather were a real treat!

Took a quick set of 4 x 600s subs of NGC6992 - Eastern Veil Nebula to see how things were tracking/aligned/generally working. I was really happy with the resulting image. It will be something that I will continue to add data to for a while to come I think.

Thoughts, comments, criticisms are welcome as always.

Now can't wait to play with the new accessory - 0.7 Focal reducer

Thanks for looking. Clear skies!

Nice work, Rob. You might want to tweak the processing of the stars a little?

- Thanks Ian. It is definitely a nice area of the sky. Its a pity it doesn't rise higher in the sky from my location.

- Thanks Rick, I totally agree about the stars, I experimented a little with their processing and wasn't totally happy with them when I went back and reviewed them. It's something I intend to process differently when I add some more data.
