IR B/W Milky Way

Just playing with a new lens. Canon 40mm STM. I used my IR modded 20D and shot in B/W just to try something different. Only a little coma in the corners, had it stopped at f3.6. 10 x 2.5 minute subs on the HEQ5 PRO.

It's a pretty cool little lens, very compact and good for everyday stuff too.

Very good Erik. I did some IR filtered mono CCD shots with a Nikon 50mm last year. They end up being much the same as straight luminance though.

It's a nice photo Erik. I really like that lens, the test reports give it a big thumbs up.
Wonder how it would go on an extension tube for macro work???
Anyhoo, looking forward to seeing some more - Trev
