Hi all.
IISAC 2007 is still a while away, but as I found out while organising IISAC 2006, it's a lot of work and needs a lot of forward planning.
So i'm after some volunteers to be part of the organising committee for IISAC 2007. There are 2 IISAC events in 2007 - one in January (18th-21st) and one in October (11th-14th). They will both be held at Lostock Scout Camp again, in the Hunter Valley about 3.5 hours North of Sydney.
Requirements:
* Likely to attend (although not absolutely essential)
* Self-motivated
* Have a drive and passion to create a great and successful event
* Have some time to commit to the organising committee
* Logical and practical thinker
* Previous event organisation experience a HUGE advantage and most welcome
What's expected of you:
* Checking/responding to threads in the IISAC private forum
* Possibility of 1 or 2 in-person meetings with the organising committee as the event gets closer
* Motivation
* Desire to see another successful IISAC event
* That you have time to help out, answer questions, provide info, resources, etc.
Ideally I want someone who is likely to attend, so they can help out during the running of the camp, not just in the organising before-hand.
During the running of the camp, it's things like cleaning (especially after everyone leaves!), unpacking, packing, tarps, marquee's, etc. All that stuff needs volunteers and hands on deck.
