Wanted - binocular tripod & head

I'm looking to buy a binocular/camera tripod & head for use with binos up to 20x80 in size.

Must have telescopic legs for compact storage.

Just as long as you know that using a standard Camera head makes Zenith a bit hard to get to. Parallelogram mounts solve the problem!

I thought a parallelogram mount attaches to the top of a camera tripod: does a parallelogram mount require an entirely separeate tripod?

Yagon, you might try your local 2nd hand type store. eg; Cash Converters or the like.
They usually have a 'nice'? selection of tripods, at reasonable prices.
HTH. L.
ps. You still need the tripod with the parallelogram assy.

Yagon,

Here are a few links you might find helpful. They are Parallelograms that can be made at home from different materials.

http://home.wanadoo.nl/jhm.vangastel...ocs/binocs.htm

http://www.gcw.org.uk/bino/binonet.htm

http://members.aol.com/scottw8088/binoc.html

http://www.astro-tom.com/projects/binocular_mount.htm

and there are lots more to google.

I hope that helps a bit.
