Hunters & Collectors gig

Saw this band for the first time at "A day on the Green" last weekend.
Wow! They were amazing, brilliant sound mix, lights & the bass player must be amongst the best in Australia and the horn section was incredible.
Them again, the other 10,000 people at the gig probably thought the same thing as well. Can't believe I've grown up with their music but never seen them live until now. Highly recommended.

Cheers
Andy

i have seen a lot of australian "alternative" pub bands through the 80's and 90's and H&C rank as my favourite live outfit
a couple of gigs at the old equator club in northbridge and then every february in the now defunct fitzgerald pubs beer garden
one of the tightest outfits around and i also thank them for their careful and fantastic vinyl recordings

I'm glad to hear they are so good live. I didn't even know they were still going. Do they still do the very early stuff? (or aren't you allowed to have gas cylinders on stage?? )

that talking to a stranger video certainly broke new ground artistically for music videos, i remember watching and listening to it with astonishment on abc rock arena in the early 80's
could not wait for them to come to perth soon after that

I first heard them on a cassette that was stuck on music magazine.
I bought the World Of Stone EP when it came out.
Their early stuff was certainly a fresh sound in the Aussie scene.

I've seen them quite a few times over the years.

Always have been great concerts.
