Another Saturn Occultation

Hi IIS. I've been lurking the forums for a while and finally decided to register.

From what I've read I was pretty lucky to get a view fairly free of clouds. When I got up and had a look outside I could barely see the Moon behind the clouds but they cleared quickly.

I don't have a scope thats any good for photography so I used my old Tamron 500mm mirror lens and a 2x TC. Shot on a Canon 7D

First pic was taken at 5:55am. The 2nd is a tighter crop of the first
The 3rd is an earlier pic taken at 5:40am

Hi Luke and

I love these shots and what grand entrance to make your first post with- just wow!
There's a couple more Moon/Saturn occultations this year (night time)- I look forward to seeing more of your work if you manage to capture them.
