Rose(tte) for Valentine’s Day

Rose(tte) for Valentine’s Day
Here is the Rose(tte) for Valentine’s Day.

This was taken with ED80Tx0.8 (Moonlight Focuser) and SBIG STT-8300m (with self-guiding filter wheel) on CGEM.
LRGB + Ha(7nm) as R and OIII(8.5nm) as B and SII(8nm) as G, combined in PI NBRGB script.
Total exposure – who knows …
Useful exposure – roughly 15h in 3-5min subs for all.

All together it was a test case for new set of gear.

Initially I had a problem with CGEM and the NexStar+ HandController.
Luckily Celestron, being aware of the issue (NexStar+ and the Southern Hemisphere), solved the problem (temporary) by sending older version of the HC.

The new Moonlight Focuser and the STT-8300 (+self-guiding filter wheel) work as expected.

Fantastic Ian! Well done, looks like the new gear behaved itself

Apparently the new beta firmware release for the Nexstar + is coming "sooner rather than later"

Very impressive Ian. I never knew about all that red stuff off to the side. Well done. Always nice when new gear works well.
