Atlas & Messier & Messier A

Atlas and Messier/Messier A on the Moon taken this morning.

Seeing was quite poor for the Messier shot (3/10) but improved to 5/10 for the shot of Atlas.

70-80 frames simply stacked and processed in Registax with one focus point at the centre of the frame, ME Deconvolution (5 Iterations at 1.1) and noise reduction applied in Noiseworks with some sharpening.

John.

Very nice John. Messier/A has intrigued me for ages. I'm looking forward to having a go at it myself one day soon.

Lovely detail in Atlas.

Beautiful shot of Atlas John, looks like a whole river system across the crater floor

Messier and Messier A are a favourite of mine, especially when you step back a bit further to take in the divergent rays of crater debris.

cheers,
