Mission impossible - Drop daughter at airport for trip to Perth and then.....

Dropped my daughter at Sydney Airport for trip to Perth and then I tried to get home to get in some solar imaging before the expected change. She set off with a few other Kids from around NSW, Qld and Vic for a fortnights worth of Science , she is the munch-kin in red. Gee they grow up quick

but on the way back i could see a definite smoke haze - and sure enough i was buggered, completely covered lake mac and newcastle. Didnt stop me having a go though

Oh wow, they certainly grow up quick don't they mate.
Amazing to see children of IIS members growing up over time.
It's the ninth year we've been on IIS mate from my calculations.

My daughter never got science trips like that although I must admit I took her to Scotland for 2.5 years where she attended a posh school that probably could have organized one. All to be paid for by our government while I was on the posting.

Her daughter never got anything special except she won a position in the Australian Ballet school but there was no money to send her to Victoria.

Now that daughter has a daughter of her own (my great granddaughter) . I wonder if she will be looking forward to a trip like that?

They sure grow up quick!

Barry
