Times to see Nova from Hobart

I have now moved to Tasmania (from Sept). What time can I start watching to see the nova, as it looks as if it MAY be fine tonight - or at least holes inthe clouds.

I'm at Glenorchy (42.8331° S, 147.2758° E) but have blockages to the south, will have to drive down to Taroona or somewhere.

Around midnight, it should be high enough to see clearly - clouds permitting!

Near full moon at midnight though. Just before dawn would avoid the moon just for tonight.

Odille, it never gets below about 12 deg in altitude where you are. That would be at close to 21:30 tonight, but nautical twilight isn't until 22:04 and astronomical twilight 23:00. At that time it will be near 14 deg.
Your best time would be before astronomical twilight at 03:11 with altitude 34 deg. Certainly no later than nautical twilight at 04:07.
