Sun, Moon & Venus from Brisbane, 7th & 8th Nov 2013.

Finally managed to get round to processing some data collected over the last couple of days. Smoke from bush fires N of Brisbane seems to have taken the edge off the seeing, but overall I am still pleased with the results.

Venus from 7th Nov, Sun & Moon from 8th Nov. All taken with Tak Mewlon 180 F12, Tak x1.6 Extender and ASI120MM CCD camera

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

Dennis

love the moon shots and Venus. I spent about an hour eyeballing Venus at 220x it's way too bright to appreciate the detail you have.

your moon images are exceptional as always. I like comparing your pics to the view in the scope

Thanks David – it’s amazing how an image really scrubs up and pops when down sampling from 1280x960 to 800x600. Vindication of the Niquist sampling theory?

Thanks Matt, the Moon is what enticed me into amateur astronomy and she holds a fond place in my heart.

Thanks Ralph – leaving the ‘scope set up and configured from the day’s solar imaging run makes taking these Moon photos very easy.

Cheers
