Liking it very much at present! Running two scopes and two Cameras at M30 to get the hang of the software!

Scope on left is WO 110 FLT using Moonlight focuser into an Astro modded 40D, scope on right is Carbon fibre C9.25" into astro modded 40D. PHD has RMS of +/- 0.8 at 0.44 arc/seconds per pixel (mind you I think on the Meade DSI II Pro I binned at 3*3 so is that 0.44 arc seconds / pixel * 3 * 0.8 to get the average tracking performance or is it just .8 * .44 which approximates to +/- 0.34 arc seconds or is it +/- 1 arc second?)

Thanks Guylain!

Seeing - my imaging scale is 0.44 arc seconds per pixel so RMS of 0.8 is about 0.34 arc seconds. The shots out to 20 minutes look like perfectly round stars; just the fun of imaging and guiding a 2.3 metre focal lenght scope into small pixels at f10!

Anyone else having trouble downloading v3 from http://www.binaryrivers.com/ ? I'm hoping it's an intermittent net issue at my end, but the site doesn't even resolve for me.

Thankfully, no problems this afternoon. Must have been a transient network issue.

I did have issues with the site for a brief moment, it lasted about 1 hour. It should be all fine now.

Thank you

Don't have your email... no problems... follow these steps to upgrade BYE 2.0.x to BYE 3.0

1) Start BYE 2.0.x
2) Go to HELP -> License Key and COPY your 2.0.x key
3) Paste your 2.0.x key here http://www.backyardeos.com/upgrade.aspx and click submit.
4) Your free BYE 3.0 Classic Edition key will be displayed along with a link to upgrade to the Premium Edition. Your cost to upgrade to the premium edition with either be $20 or $12 if you already had the ASCOM plugin.
5) Download BYE 3.0 here http://www.backyardeos.com/download.aspx
6) Install BYE 3.o and copy your 3.0 key.

7) If you decide to upgrade to the premium edition (optional) using the link in step #4 you will be redirected to a PayPal page to submit your $20 or $12 upgrade fee.
8) Once I get the payment notification I will generate and send you a new Premium Edition key to your PayPal registered email address.
9) To enter you premium key in BYE 3.0 start BYE, click the " i " icon in the upper right corner in BYE and enter your key there. RESTART BYE.

YOUR 2.0.X KEY WILL NOT WORK WITH BYE 3.0 AND VICE-VERSA.

Thank you

I cant remember which laptop i loaded v2 onto and hence the key for that but i will find it soon (astrofest) and upgrade that licence after. I know i did it (v2) you might have the info on that in your records of licences?

Went to the BEOS website yesterday to see if there were any updates and cool...a new version!

Downloaded and updated to the Premier edition and it looks great. Only did a bench test with the 450D but worked well. Can't wait to try it out in the field...IF ONLY THESE CLOUDS WOULD GO AWAY. LOL

Version 2.x was fantastic, so ver 3 should be fantasticer.

Cheers for a great product.

Damien.

Posted a longer post to the Yahoo Group Guylain - was a very satisfying experience. Re camera control there are not many improvements I can think off now - and most would be cosmetic!

Cheers,

Matthew
