Eye burn :)

Just looked thru my first telescope in about 18 months and I think I burnt an image of the moon on my eye.
Picked up a stop gap scope for $50 a Celestron Powerseeker 127 and mount, nothing special but I have rekindled "the bug".
The mount needed a bit of fixing, a few screws and a lot of araldite but it still works and will do until I get my real scope.

Haha, I made the mistake of looking at the last full Super moon through my 12" Dob with a 30mm 2" EP and had a similiar experience - eye burn! I had a headache for hours. Have to get some filters, or get out the sun glasses.

Make a cap for the scope with a smaller aperture hole in it to chop most of the light.

Try looking at Sirius through a 29" reflector. Not even slightly amusing
