I thought I'd try something different to the normal barlow/ToUcam arrangemnt tonight. Seeing wasn't that good (4/10 maybe) so I had nothing to lose.
This image is a positive projection using a 15mm eyepiece in a meade variable tele extender on the 8" meade. Approximate focal length is 10,000 to 12,000mm, Unfortuntely I couldn't get the colour right. On a good night though I reacon using this technique I could get some decent image scale.
Using the same technique but with not as much magnification.
Avi rgb split, converted to bmps, aligned in ImagesPlus, stacked in Registax, ME decovolution and recombine in Astra Image, slight curves in PS (damn them onion rings)
Hey Paul, some very nice results here, that second post has some great detail - I wouldn't have notcied the onioning unless you'd mentioned it too. Looks like you got the best of last night, it was a dismal failure for me
