When is a conjunction not a conjunction?

I don't know, but here are some pics of Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury yesterday evening.

They will continue to smear into a longer line over the next few nights.

The first image is a composite of exposures 10 seconds apart, stacked using Startrails.

nice work - i wonder that very same question i think i would call it an alignment, or an arrangement, or even a gathering but i am still perplexed why its a conjunction
