It is well done CGI - but there are some areas that you can tell are CGI. Missed a few pertinent aerodynamic points as well (not a lot of wing flex happening under what would be extreme wing loading/g, no sign of high-alpha "cloud" in the wing root or off the nacelles, etc).

The animator has a FAIRLY decent grasp on the situation, but misses a few salient issues and phenomena. For instance, probably the greater percentage of animators would have the 747 breaking left (right from our perspective) to avoid the collision, whereas someone with some aviation knowledge, or even a decent grasp of physics and geometry would realise that there would be FAR LESS chance of collision by the 747 turning INTO the oncoming aircraft (much like how ilitary aerobatic teams duo's turn INTO each other during the close passes, as there is no potential collision with upgoing wing etc)

Anyway... CGI is getting good. Not perfect, but good.

The smaller plane rolls too quickly and too steeply.

At the angle these two rolled both would literally fall out of the sky - the horizontal projected area of the wing is reduced as the aircraft rolls, and the lift of the wing is no longer vertical.

I ' suspected ' some trickery there ....but one can be fooled into the ' realism ' of the end product.
