H-Alpha Prominences on Parade 28th April 2013

Hi All

Just got around to processing some data from the 28th April. I think the image shows several nice variants of prominences all happening at once. Quite unusual mix. Taken with the Lunt 80 and DMK41 with 5X barlows. Gamma had to be pushed a bit to get across the brightness range.

Thanks Narayan. I must say that the Lunt scope has never dissapointed in what it can deliver. Its capabilities sit in a sweet spot for portability and resolving power that is usually seeing limited when imaging.

Thanks Laurie, Adam, Ralph, Matt & John. Always easier to make a good pic when the sun co-operates

Lovely work Ted, the diversity of shapes of the prominences and their detail is quite exquisite.

Cheers
