How do I make a bino telescope?

I have two old 4inch reflector telescopes that I'm thinking of turning into a bino telescope.
Am I wasting my time?
If not, where might I find design plans for a mount and advice on its construction?

Sounds like a great idea Gavan. Have a look at binofied's website. If he can build 16" binos then he's the man to help you I think.

There's a yahoo discussion group for binoscopes that is apparently the place to be, but I'm not sure what it's called exactly. There must be some sites around on them, they're popular enough in the US, perhaps a little bit of Googling will throw up a few to get you started.
