A Bit of Vela SNR in NB and RGB with StarTools

I reprocessed both the NB and RGB with StarTools. There is a marked improvement.

Great shots Bert. Is this a mosaic or a single frame?

You really got some deep data there. I see the Y area to the left is almost all O111. I started imaging that area the other night but abandoned it after a 20 minute sub didn't show enough signal for my time buck so to speak.

Are you going to image the other half this season?

It'd be great if you could make available your data like you have on some other projects.

Greg.

A beautiful photo Bert.

The detail is amazing.

Your telescope and camera combined with your processing is producing some very unique and incredible photos.

So much detail and a beautifully composed image, Bert. You have to be happy with that.

Nice work Bert. It's an impressive region.

I take it you are a fan of StarTools? Would you recommend it to astrophotography beginners?

Phil,

I know the question wasn't directed to me but none the less I would recommend it for everyone, even those who have been imaging for a few years. It is a wonderful piece of software!

Cheers,
Mario

PS A fantastic image Bert.
