Who has pinched our clear skies

Hi to all,
I would like to know who is having all those clear skies because we here in Ballarat Vic sure arn't getting any.
Like last night, stuck my head out side, yea it's clear, bewdy, set up my stuff ready for some imaging, and then it rolled in again, heavy fog and cloud, bugger.....
Got up at 3am, the same, got up 5am the same, so i reckon something is amiss, and some are getting more than there share, so we would like the culprits to own up, and give some back.

No questions will be asked on the safe return of our clear skies

I agree! The prediction is for "a few showers", max 17 degrees, for the next week!

Looking at the BOM's satellite pix it looks like Sydney/Canberra might get some clear skies the next day or so????

Wind, clouds and another shower of rain as I'm typing this
I don't think I'm going to be able to do a test run with my 300mm f2.8 lens this weekend
It is winter though, can't expect too much good weather!

I think we need to blame IIS members. They are all buying too much stuff. Everybody stop so we can use what equipment we already have.

It must be nearly a month since I took my scope outside, it is sitting there looking neglected. It has been one thing or another, too cloudy, too cold or I am too tired after work.

Hi Leon. It's a Nikon lens that I picked up earlier in the week, so I haven't got any results to post yet. I plan on using it for widefields and nature shots. See this thread - http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=10371
I'll post some pics there as soon as I get some. Hopefully it all works OK, but it has got a 3 month warranty if it's no good.
