Omega Centauri - 14/3/13

Hi All,

Just testing my equipment, running a HEQ5pro, 80mm f450mm Refractor, Philips 900NC Finderguider. EQMOD Pulseguided through PHD.. Captured through BackyardEOS.

Still some small bugs to work out but overall happy with this first test image of Omega Centauri... Light pollution was a killer, so couldn't pull out any colouring of the stars, but baby steps.....it will come... Sum of 10 x 2min exp @ ISO800 Canon 400D..

This was the first time I had used the EQMOD with PHD with the HEQ5Pro mount. Under imaging conditions. Small amount of movement as Polar Alignment wasn't perfect, forgot to test EQAlign software...

Looks like everything is working Andrew.... you'll iron out the bugs, then others will come!

Definitely Lee, Cannot wait for more bugs to arrive, makes this hobby all the more interesting... couldn't imagine not having a bug or problem, would make it quite boring I think

Seriously, I am happy with it, just looking at an LP filter now...
