Comets at Point Peron

I enjoyed the first outing so much I had to have another go! More cloud this time and I attempted a different setup with my nifty 50.

After the clouds rolled in I lined up on Lemmon.

Panstarrs: Canon 650D 50mm 2 sec at F3.5 ISO 800

Lemmon: Canon 650D 50mm 20 X 10 sec at F2 ISO 1600

I also took some shots of the Southern cross but the light pollution was a bit extreme. The interesting thing was that whilst taking the pics there were 18 meteors in 200 secs.

Thanks for looking

Paul

A nice capture Paul, well done indeed, may I suggest that the next time you attempt this, don't center the foreground, the rock i mean, if you had that rock to the left or the right of the image the impact would have been greater.

However lovely photo.

Did you go again tonight, Paul? I looked west and saw fluffy clouds so didn't bother. Too tired anyway

I just received my IOptron Skytracker today and as I had some things to do at home I've been fiddling with it here. Grahame went down after TAFE and he messaged me to say Panstarrs was sitting high above the cloud bank and he has got Timelapse and 250mm shots galore!! It's very clear outside just now.
