Meteorite?

I was just admiring the sunset from my balcony when I saw this yesterday. This was taken west over Docklands, Victoria.

How long was it there for?

It looks like a plane contrail that is illuminated by the setting sun to me.

Definately not a meteorite. A meteorite is a meteor that has made it to the planets surface. Looking at your images I would say it was an aeroplane with its contrail lit up by the setting/rising sun.

If it was there for a couple of minutes it was most definately an aircraft and contrail.
